Micro-examination report on grit extracted from two petrol samples.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG3.2.27.) The grit extracted from the above samples weighed as follows :- Auto-Klean -------------- 11.707 grammes. From petrol sample marked "Z". 0.877 " A sample of each grit was examined microscopically and measurements of the particles made in one plane only. The largest particle from the "Auto-Klean" sample measured 0.018" x 0.011". and the largest particle from sample "Z" measured 0.017" x 0.010". It may be noted that in both samples the dimensions of most of the particles lay between 0.012" and 0.007". We send herewith the extracted matter in labelled test tubes. H1. HE | ||
