the eyelet. drawn out. This I think is rather unsafe. I also suspect that the axle is slightly bent and am dismantling same to be properly inspected.

I am hoping to have this car running early next week but cannot say definitely as I am not quite sure in what way we shall be able to cure these faults which I think should be attended to before car is allowed to run further.

I will let you know definitely as soon as possible when I shall have the car ready, shall I send Holgate with the car to meet you at Conduit Street? [Handwritten annotation: see] Would rather send another man.

Re crank shaft bearings - would like to fix oil supply to all crank shaft bearings - as a good chance of testing, but may delay running of car on road
