Cont'd 3. 12.2.39. Report on Avon tyres. a rise in temperature & the consequent rise in pressure of 4 lbs front & 6 lbs rear in cold weather & a rise of 8 lbs front & 10 lbs rear with cornering & hot dry roads, Thus we found that for the most comfortable ride, & without loss of road holding 25 lbs front & 28 lbs rear cold, were the best pressures to run at. The rear tyres are now smooth, & if the roads are at all wet there is very little adhesion & care must be taken even on acceleration RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} / W.N. Race J.J.
