Marles Steering on 25 HP.

We have ordered a third Marles type L.7 steering gear which we want to be fitted to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s new car, Chassis GLG-5.

Will you please fit the above gear as soon as both the chassis and the gear are available. In the meantime will you please make the pendulum lever for this gear - length 10.15". The splines in the lever should be cut by the Adamant Co.

The side steering tube should also be modified to incorporate reduced movement and increased set up load as on Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s car and 21-G-IV. This necessitates parts EX.16585/6/7/8/9.

In our memo. ref. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}18/KW.26.11.34 we instructed the fitting of a shorter pendulum lever and modified side steering to the R.R. gear on chassis GLG-5. This is now cancelled but the parts should be kept as they may be required on another 25 HP. chassis.
