Analysis of issues with battery cell separators, comparing standard wood and ebonite with Threaded Rubber.

Many separators were found badly clogged with active material when cells were dismantled.
At the commencement of their life similar results were obtained on the Std: cells & the Threaded Rubber cells having the ribs to the positives.
Later during service the cells fitted with Threaded Rubber were showing signs of lagging behind the Std: cells both in capacity & resistance this gradually getting worse.
Throughout the life of these batteries the Std: cells have shewn a better general performance & we can say with certainty that our Std combination of wood & ebonite separators is the best arrangement of separation we have yet found & proved.
