7962 Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW. 7th June, 1934. E.R. Hall, Esq., 53, Berkeley Court, Baker Street, LONDON. Dear Hall, We have to-day despatched to you two of the brackets to hold the instrument board on to the dashboard. You will find that these are too long but we presume that you will be able to shorten them and make them the correct length. If not, and you can tell us what length to make them, we will shorten them for you. With regard to the spare wheel carrier, we send you herewith a print showing the spare wheel carrier which can be fitted on the exhaust side of the car. We cannot think of any reason why the bonnet should be lifted on the exhaust side of a car unless there is serious trouble of some sort, and we question whether even in such a case it will materially interfere with the lifting of the bonnet. I wonder whether you could let us have a sample of the ordinary radiator protecting wire mesh which you fit to the front of your radiators as stone guards. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
