6142 BA.4/W.5.7.30. R.R. SINGLE BELT DRIVE - DYNAMO MOUNTING AND FIXING. RE Finders receive herewith :- E.DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1439 Dynamo Mounting for Single Belt R.R Engine. The Dynamo support bracket and also the anchorage for the dynamo fixing strap for dynamo adjustment are altered to suit the new conditions of E.DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1439 in conjunction with the engine front support E.DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1434. We have replaced the long bolt and distance tube, originally used as a pivot for dynamo adjustment, by two short bolts, and the bracket has been stiffened by increasing the thickness to .160". The dynamo fixing strap is now bolted to an extension of the water pump back plate to obtain a rigid anchorage, eliminating the long overhang on a stud with its resulting flexibility due to bending of stud, experienced on the present engines. Will you please detail and instruct for use on chassis S.S.30. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
