Joseph Lucas advise they are in a position to commence delivery forthwith of such Headlamps at the rate of 10 pairs per week, and build up deliveries to 25 or even 30 pairs per week at 3 weeks notice. (a) We are accordingly cancelling the outstanding balance of the present standard Bentley Lamps and placing an order with Lucas forthwith for 100 pairs of such P.100 Lamps, in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in ROY{Sir Henry Royce}10/MG27.3.34, for delivery at the rate of 10 pairs per week commencing shortly. (b) They are sending us 25 pairs of 60 watt bulbs, which we propose fitting to the present type Bentley Lamp in place of the 48 watt bulbs at present standardised. (c) Presumably you would like a supply of such bulbs in London. If you will let us know the quantity the necessary arrangements will be made forthwith for these to be despatched to you. In any case we are asking Lucas to send you 12 pairs at once. (d) It is possible certain Bentley owners who have already taken delivery of their cars may wish to substitute P.100 Lamps. Messrs. Lucas are quite prepared to accept return of such Lamps, subject to a normal charge being made to us for making same as new - the actual figure I will advise you shortly. Meantime the D.O are considering release of the modified form of bracket to accommodate these P.100 Lamps - production of which will of course take some little time. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
