The Hoffmann Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.,
Chelmsford,
ESSEX.

Dear Sirs,

We want, for experimental purposes, to run one of our gearboxes with bearings having the minimum endwise slack.

As this is for experiment only, and the life of the bearings does not matter, we think the best thing would be to replace the present bearings by the duplex type. Will you, therefore, please send us, as soon as possible, one each of the following bearings:-

M.12.CD.
150 CD.
L.1 3/4 CD. with a special outside diameter of 3 1/4.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
