P.II. SEMI EXPANDING CARBURETTERS.

We would like you to issue a Depot Sheet to all concerned making clear the modifications necessary to cure the "flat spot" and "luffing back" troubles that have been experienced with the above carburetters.

All of these carburetters should have been fully modified before getting into customers hands, but somehow or other one or two have slipped through, 16-MY, Joll Esq. is an example, and in cases of complaint, the following is a list of modifications since the carburetter was first put on production.

(1) Fitting of .031 slow running jet (E.82679) with tall (E.83411).
(2) Venturi (E.63673) fitted in slow running tube.
(3) Diffuser body with 3 flutes and holes for feeding slow speed jet, E.83321.
(4) Blanking of original low speed jet feed at the base of the diffuser in the carburetter body.
(5) .075 hole drilled right through main passage into the diffuser to overcome air locking.
(6) Lighter floats 26 SWG. replacing 24 SWG. New level to be 1.375" below the parting surface of the floatchamber cover.
Complete float assembly E.84015.
