Dear Mr. Rowbotham,

I very much regret to inform you that, from a burial report received by the War Office, they have now officially reported 2nd Lieut. S. Lovell-Hewitt as having died of wounds at Calonne on or shortly after the 21st May, 1940.

Mr. Hewitt was a well-liked and on-coming young man with us, and we shall miss him personally and from a business point of view.

Yours sincerely,
