WALLER noted. This procedure was suggested between RD & myself. JWO DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}8/G.20.5.38. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} PROTECTION OF HORN WIRE IN STEERING COLUMN FROM PETROL AND OIL. RC.{R. Childs} [Signature] 6066? Referring to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}11/R.4.5.38. we may point out that petrol proof wire in the horn circuit will involve an additional cost of 1/6d. per chassis, against an anticipated cost of 4d. per chassis for the rubber shield. On these grounds of costs, we suggest the experiment on D.CD.627 should be allowed to proceed and that petrol proof wire should be used on Wraith until such time as the rubber shield is found effective.
