| Oy6-E-22524 February 22, 1924. Mr. Claude Johnson, Rolls-Royce, Ltd., London, England. (Copy for attention of Mr. Royce " " " " Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Platford " " " " Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives) Dear Sirs, Re: Proposal Sheet No. 54 Water Connection - (Radiator to pump) This proposal is fully explained on the attached sheet. We believe that the base of the water pump is so narrow compared to the overhang of the pipe that the motion of the car, or stress set up in lining-up the copper pipe and bottom radiator connection, is in certain cases, responsible for pulling the pump out of line and starting leaks in its joint faces.
