Raising concerns about the Hardy fabric coupling for the magneto drive on the postwar 'P' Series chassis.

X.3530 CHASSIS - MAGNETO DRIVE. --------------------- In view of the fact that we are now instructed to order up material for a further 500 chasses on the postwar program, that is, from 2001 to 2500, under the heading of "P" Series, I am rather anxious to know what is your attitude towards the Hardy fabric coupling for the magneto drive. The matter has been under consider-ation for standardisation sometime, but it does not appear to have been finally carried through. Messrs. Hardy cannot guarantee that the couplings will run true and any question of drilling the fabric appears to be a doubtful proposition so far as accuracy is concerned.
