EAC-11 CAR FOR PN.{Mr Northey}

We strongly recommend that although it has been proposed to seriously modify the scheme for the brakes compared with that which we have fitted to the above car, that the test should still proceed as arranged.

All along we have known that the brakes on this car would probably not be like those we should deliver to customers.

We have no fear that the brakes will give any trouble if used under moderate conditions and no very severe tests made. The mechanic with the car will be capable of making any necessary adjustments.

The item which we considered most important was to get a true impression of the engine over an extended trial.

There are several points on the engine which we consider need attention before any could be delivered to customers. It is probable, on an extended trial, that more faults will become apparent.

Although the engine will be more complete than the one tried by R.{Sir Henry Royce} before he went away, it has still been necessary for us to fit to it a number of temporary experimental parts because the proper designed pieces are not ready. These include -
Carburetter, Controls, Front Cross Member for engine, Starting Handle, Undershield, Wiring etc.
