| - 3 - Exhaust Complaints. Exhaust blows. Frequent failures experienced on 15,000 miles tests on 20/25 & 25/30 & extensive experiment with the aluminising etc carried out, & finally they found where joint with c.g. down take pipe to front expansion box. Silencer rattles from flexible suspension. Frequently experienced but always overcome by careful fitting & lubrication. Exhaust & Petrol fumes in body. No complaints of exhaust fumes. Remote petrol tank vents had to be fitted to 32 Ex at Chateauroux when Tester came after Spain trip in 1936. to cure smell of petrol in body. Transmission. Clutch Slips. No trouble on 20/30 or Ph III.
