Dear Mr. Swift,

I am going to take advantage of your friendship and ask if you will be kind enough to help me in regard to my 4 1/4 litre Bentley Car, delivered in January last.

Ever since I have had this Car, I have been troubled with squeaky brakes, and this trouble is being intensified as time goes on, in fact the nuisance has been so annoying that I am almost ashamed to drive the Car through the town. Every time I manipulate the brakes, I am greeted with squeaks and shrieks.

Whilst I have been away the last two or three days, I have asked the Garage to examine the brakes again, and they report that the two rear brake drums shew signs of defect, and I am not sure whether they are cracked.

I would mention that this Car has been to your London Service Depot, and also at Derby, for attention, and
