1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.2/ET. 19th March, 1942. E.T. Townsend, Esq., 57, Publey Road, Hall Green, BIRMINGHAM, 28. Dear Mr. Townsend, Thank you for your letter and samples of paper. I am sorry to hear that you are laid up with gout and hope that you will soon get rid of it. I shall not do anything, however, in the way of ordering a supply of paper for a few days, as I gather from your letter that you hope to be well enough to pay us a visit early next week. I would prefer to have a chat with you before ordering. As I explained to you over the telephone, we shall only want a small quantity, and it seems a long journey for you to come for such a small thing, although I should be very pleased to see you and have a talk with you. Should you decide, however, that you are unable to come, perhaps you would let me know and I can then ask you to supply us with the paper which I think would be suitable for our requirements. Kind regards, Yours faithfully, | ||
