and in view of the attitude CJ. has taken on this matter, it appears very essential that some action with regard to this matter must be settled quickly. Can you wire us as soon as something is settled with regard to this point.

Also we attach a copy of a memo. we have today sent to Sales, with reference to the anticipated programme of the 10,000 trials' cars.

At present, we do not anticipate that we shall be able to complete the "amateurs" car and BJ. has been informed of this. It is possible, however, that some alternative may be arranged such as, the car you now have being used in conjunction with 5/6-Goshawk-II for doing a 10,000 miles' test or 2 10,000 miles cars only being used and as, I believe, Sales Dept. representatives have made some arrangements re. the running of the car in France, it is possible that this may mean that they will do such running on the existing 10,000 miles trials' cars.

A further complaint on 3-Goshawk-II (limousine body) was that the foot brake was not good which certainly appears to be the case, and to me this is distressing as the same thing seems to have taken place on 2-Goshawk-II These brakes, we understand, were fairly good when fixed up new and have developed into this poor condition. We should be glad to hear from you how the brakes on your car are behaving.
