SPECTRECodename for Phantom III (contd)

Bijur System Faults.
S. stated that many modifications had been instructed to cure these.

Damage to Rear Shock Absorbers by Stones
A scheme is ready to prevent this.

Design of Gearbox
Hancock's criticisms were referred to, but are not agreed with in many cases. The general design and construction of the gearbox is not different from what we have been using. Failure of Spokes
The design has been altered to obtain the best triangulation, and the job is being followed up.

Wear of front tyres

Action of Car over Humpback Bridges
This, having regard to the fact that the Phantom III is probably driven generally faster than the Phantom II is probably no worse than the Phantom II would be at the same speed. It is not considered too bad as at present.

Connecting Rod Rattle
There is much wear in the engine in which this has been reported and should not recur.

Demonstration Car for Paris During Paris Exhibition
