Exptl. Dept.

Messrs. Ransome & Marles,
NEWARK.

16th January, 1934.

For attention Mr. Hickling.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for ringing us up to tell us the result of your test on the double row bearing. If you are able to run the bearings we sent you without relieving the outer race, that is, as we have been running them in a car, we shall be able to get a direct comparison of how much better the new bearings will be.

We are very anxious to carry out a road test on the increased capacity bearing relieved on one half. If you would ring us up when the first one is ready we will send a car over to fetch it so as to start the road test as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
