Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}17.11.38.

Inlet Valve Springs & Washers.

Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 units to incorporate FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}300.

Exhaust Valves.

All units to have sodium filled valves FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}290.

Push Rods.

Nos. 4, 5 and 6 to have .4 carbon push rods (EB.4199).

Water Rail.

Two side holes in rail to be deleted.

Camshafts.

All camshafts to be in S/ZN. also with S/ZN distributor drive gear. Gears to incorporate teeth mod. By/CS. S/EH.7.11.38.

No.3 unit to have original form camshaft HB.{C. E. Harcombe}4268.

Nos. 4, 5 and 6 units to be produced up to cam form stage. Actual camshaft for these units will be allotted dependent on results obtained on Nos. 1, 2 and 3 units.

Oil Pump Drive (all units).

(a) Details be modified to give .015 end clearance between oil pump drive and alum sleeve.

(b) Oil feed to distributor drive gear to be tapped off main pressure and not low pressure as original.

(c) Banjo oil feed screw to be made as No.1 unit.

(d) Slot in driving oil gear bush to be as incorporated on No.1 unit. Detail drawings of these mods are required.
