Pistons.
No.s 3, 4 and 5 Aerolite std. pistons.
No. 6 units to have FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}304 pistons.

Crankshaft Damper.
To incorporate reduced section leaf springs.

Cylinder Heads.
Nos. 3 and 4 units. To incorporate modification to the transfer throat FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}292, also machining .070 off the face of the cylinder heads.
Nos. 5 and 6 units. To incorporate modification to the transfer throat FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}292, otherwise as EB.3844.
All the cylinder heads to incorporate opening-up of 4 steam holes from .156 to .312 dia., also 1 extra .312 hole as carried out on No.1 unit.
These holes to likewise be incorporated in the gasket and cylinder block. (A drawing is required for this job).

Inlet Valve Seats.
On all units in S.65 material as instructed for Nos. 2 and 3 units, in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swd1.1/MH.{M. Huckerby}1.9.38.

Inlet Valves.
No.3 unit to have valves as detailed EB.3853, Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} is obtaining valves for Nos. 4, 5 and 6.

Inlet Valve Guides.
Modified to FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}294 to suit higher lift camshafts.
