To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X8992 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG19.10.27. CAR FOR LE CANADELHenry Royce's French residence. X8774 Whilst we are waiting for the new engine parts, we were suggesting sending 14-EX to the coachbuilders to have the paint-work finished. From your verbal instructions we understand that you would prefer the colour to be identical to 7-EX. We are obtaining a sample from Barkers of the original colour of that car. This means that the car will still have the two colour schemes but would be grey and black instead of the buff and black. We should like your agreement as regards this.
