X 5080 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/MJ.13.4.34. Re. 1 1/4 HORIZONTAL CARBURTTER (20/25). We are sending you a cylinder block, suitable for the fitting of the new horizontal carburetter, which at the moment has three stud fixing. The present standard 20/25 carburetter has a four stud fixing to the cylinder block, and it it possible to make the one cylinder block suitable for both types of carburetter for tests purposes on 18-G4 by drilling and tapping the four necessary extra holes. Will you please have this cylinder block modified so that it can be fitted to 18-G4. It is desirable that the extra drilling should not break into the water jacket.
