Re: Briggs S. Cunningham, Esq.
Chassis No. B.72.BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}

Replying to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MJ,10.8.36.

On the strength of our telephone conversation last Friday, we have fixed up the above with this ex Indian Demonstration Open car.

He is arranging to have the axle ratio changed to standard and has allowed us £50, and more if necessary, to specially treat the engine. He also asked that in addition to the special high compression cylinder head to have the standard head as well. I have shown C. your memo and he has approved that the customer can have this fitted in accordance with your memo providing he pays.

Mr. Cunningham appreciates that he must run on 85 Octane fuel.

As I understand that K.{Mr Kilner} can carry out the work on the engine, would you therefore dispatch to them as soon as possible, the cylinder head and other parts for the change over.

The customer has specially asked that the engine should be dismantled and the pistons examined, so that there would be little trouble to fit connecting rods with Hall's metal bearings.

We are advising K.{Mr Kilner} to inspect these parts.
