To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X8600 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}13.10.27. RE. SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS X.8600 X.5600 Some little while ago we asked you to try a 20 HP. wheel carrier, either side or rear, having the hexagon of the fixing, stud replaced by a fixed handle made by screwing on and pinning a 40/50 wheel carrier handle. We would like to have your remarks on the convenience of handling such a fixing bolt, as it vitally concerns our proposals for the rear wheel carrier on the Phantom for which you are waiting and the designs of which R.{Sir Henry Royce} has promised immediately.
