Dear Sirs,

We are sending you herewith a blueprint No.RB.{R. Bowen}16125 showing a section of rubber which we propose using as a finisher round the lining board on the inside of a luggage boot lid.{A. J. Lidsey}

The lining board would be in ply covered with lin-rubber, this will be recessed into the steel panel and the rubber will be used to make the joint between the two. The size and shape of the lining board is shown, and we should like the rubber to be shaped accordingly and the ends joined together.

The sizes given are the actual sizes of the lining board and we should like the length of the rubber surround made so that it grips the edge of the board tightly.

The finish for the rubber we should like to be definitely black and smooth, similar to a windscreen sealing rubber.

Will you please let us know if you can undertake this work for us, and if so, the time required, also what the die costs would be. At present we shall require only two lengths of this, which will be used on sample bodies which we have in hand.

With reference to the sponge and rubber weatherstrip to our drawing No.RB.{R. Bowen}18010, we should be obliged if you could give us some idea when we may expect this.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD.,
