We send herewith N.Sch.4809 showing proposals for the road wheels and tyres for Wraith II. In all cases the wheel is shown relative to the front brake drum, as it is here that the greatest difficulty is experienced. It is proposed to make Wraith II capable of taking both 17" diameter rims of 4" rim width and 17" diameter rims of 5" rim width. In either case the tyre section is to be 7". On the scheme herewith we show that for the 4" and the 5" it is possible to have the well in the rim symmetrical provided we are able to use the Bentley type of spoking. A second view shows that if we are forced to use the Phantom III spokes it will be necessary with a 5" rim to place the rim well asymmetrically, and with a 4" rim to move the track out by approximately .450" per side. We are sending a print of this drawing to the makers asking their views on these proposals. It will be noticed that we have used the Bentley hub unaltered.
