X9940 PN{Mr Northey}1/DN2.9.24. FROM PN{Mr Northey} TO Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} You may remember that recently when you brought a certain chassis to Gerrards Cross for BJ and others to test in respect of Front Wheel Brakes, we all decided that the engine on this chassis was peculiarly smooth and had characteristics which were eminently suitable for demonstration work. I wrote to you shortly afterwards, or to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, asking that this chassis might be carefully kept in view for this purpose. I have heard nothing further. BJ writes me about it again and is evidently very keen on having this car available. Will you please let me have your remarks? Is there any special reason why we should not immediately take advantage of what we have found by accident to be something unusually desirable? The matter is urgent. | ||
