BODIES FOR INDIA 3.
-----------------

I give below a summary of the body position as called for by Mr. EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/23.5.28 :-

a/- A special close coupled four-seater semi-flexible body is being bought from Barkers. It is being altered to suit the new chassis dimensions, but will not be mountedon a subframe. It will be mounted on standard brackets, but the positions for the brackets will not be in the usual place on the frame.

b/- The subframe which is being produced will be for the second chassis and will be sent to Hoopers who will produce a six-seater sedanca suitable for the subframe.

c/- The third chassis will be fitted with a close coupled all-weather body, which will be for Mr. Royce to his final requirements. It will be built at Barkers, and supported in a similar manner to that adopted for the Sports Open Bodies here. Again apparently no subframe is called for, but the third form of coupling of the body to the frame will be demanded.

From the foregoing it would appear that we should delete any bolting that was peculiar to the subframe from the 1st. and 3rd chassis.

When WW. supply the drawings for the first and third chassis body suspension we can then issue a special drawing just showing this drilling.
