BENTLEY CHASSIS - SHIMS FOR CONNECTING ROD BIG ENDS AND MAIN BEARINGS.

25/30 HP. " SIMILAR SHIM FOR CONNECTING ROD ONLY IN SHORT RR.56.

The above proposal has come out satisfactorily on experimental test, and it is therefore now of the utmost importance that these parts should be obtained as quickly as possible, and reasonable orders can now be placed to make it worth while for the producer to get down to his final tools.

We are going to accept the dimension for the shim EB.3065.T, put forward by the Lion Engineering Co., the thickness which is a finished dimension in this case, the only one on the T. drawing which is a final size, which we will accept, is .099 - E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}

Will the Order Office, therefore, confirm the dimension in question as the only really important dimension on the piece, and point out that this must be maintained within the limit specified.

The parts will be satisfactory as received in the annealed state.

What does this mean?
