AMERICAN CHASSIS, EAC-9. X 7770 X 4663

Replying to BJI/E1.7.26. This chassis is at present only being designed. No instructions have been issued to make any parts. If Sales wish to criticize the design of a chassis, they should take it up with R.{Sir Henry Royce} direct. Our own opinion however is that it would be unwise for them to waste their time and R's time in criticising the designs in the early stages.

We know that R.{Sir Henry Royce} realises the necessity for a silent and smooth starter. We are sure he is the best judge of the arrangement of the brakes and the position of the battery etc.

We think that the reason R.{Sir Henry Royce} sent to Sales a specification of EAC-9 was because he thought they would be delighted to know there was a chance of reduction in the height of the chassis without sacrificing ground clearance.
