Removing cushions, flooring, front seat framing, instrument board, rocker carpets and sundry other details from body. Lowering body on to chassis and lining up with bonnet, dash etc. Fitting sorbo packing to front of scuttle, suitable thickness, and fitting up to dash. Spreading outbottom of scuttle to make sides line up with bonnet, (scuttle too narrow across bottom). Lowering body on to chassis and drilling for all body bolts, dash bolts etc. Fitting correct packing, making necessary adjustments to make doors fit correctly and scuttle to line up with bonnet. Fitting wood packing to make up gap between pedal plate and side of bonnet. body Fitting drain pipe to scuttle ventilator. Cutting away flooring of rear luggage locker to clear petrol connection and fixing filler to body panel. Refixing flooring, refixing front seat frame, rocker carpets, trimming, inside division and fittings removed during mounting of body. Instrument Board. Fitting patch, switch box etc., and refixing all switches in instrument board, refixing instrument board in position, refitting dubby hole locker and fixing stay for same. Refixing trimming and moulding on cross rail. Fitting map light into underside of windscreen rail for illumination of switches on instrument board. - 1 - contd. | ||
