WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7721 BY23/G.17.3.30. L.H.S.S. - SECOND CHASSIS. I have gone carefully over the items we decided must be incorporated in the second chassis, and I estimate that we will clear up the drawings and get them issued by the end of this week. I am not, however, including the special design of Radiator, bonnet and dash referred to by HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} in HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.15.3.30. This would take another week or say ten drawing days to clear up if it is decided it must be included. To get the new backing light fittings arranged in the gearbox means a fair amount of pattern work, and as we have only just received the design it will take me to nearly the end of the week to get the gearbox drawing corrected and issued. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Br P.S. I had written the above memo previous to seeing OY's letter which you referred to, as I thought you would like to know the position. new requirement | ||
