X1729 G.W. Hancock, Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}21/KW.12.11.34. Cadillac Car. Here is a note we have received from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} with regard to your trying the Cadillac with the roll rod disconnected. We do not ourselves attribute the tendency of the car to swing on corners as being due to the roll rod, but rather to the creep on the tyres and the loss of castor on the outside front wheel with independent front wheel springing. We anticipate that running with hard tyres will improve cornering more than removing the roll rod, but await your report with interest.
