Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

I must apologise for not answering you again on general
purchase of this Napier car, rather as an
important undertaking for me, as I must be sure that I get
exactly what I ask for, and if they will deliver.

Will you answer me the following question:-

I want to have cycle type mudguards. It is, of course, best
to fit them on the chassis, and wants some care that the existing plates
are of extra strong standard.

I understand when I was last up at the factory, that for
a small extra charge, it was possible to have the longer
engine and chassis, which would not ever have the
life of the present one, and having this type of engine in my present
car I see no reason to get a similar performance at least.
My car is easily capable of over 100 miles an hour, with my Hispano.

the number of the chassis allocated to me is G.H.P.60, and
this chassis is promised for delivery the second week in March.

I do not want to go on with the V.8. and whatever reason
I think the present one would let me down rather, and I would
rather wait two or three weeks, and secure having cycle type mudguards
and the improved engine performance.

I should be awfully grateful if you could be good enough
to have this matter looked into, and let me know in these two

O.T.T.

features can be arranged on my chassis, and if it will affect
the delivery date.

With kind regards, and best wishes for Christmas and
the New Year.

Yours sincerely,
