HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TSN. FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X3806. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M24.10.29. OIL LEAKS FROM BIJUR PUMPS. With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/TSN7/AD221029., the original scheme of the pump intended there to be a species of joint between the spring washer on the top cover, and we were disappointed that this joint appeared not to be good enough to prevent leaks. We quite agree that if it can be done in the way that you suggest, of making a species of cup leather along the pump spindle, that it should be done. We also agree to the holes in front of the baffle to direct oil to the outside of the pump, and the cap nuts for the through bolts. This work is in hand. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/S.S. 2527.
