Cambridge.

For the attention of Mr. Orchard.

Dear Sir,

With reference to our visit to Cambridge for the purpose of discussing resistance thermometers for measure-ment of radiator temperatures, we should like you to send us an estimate for carrying out this work. We should require 4 water thermometers wound as discussed, in the form of an X. in tube of internal diameter 1 1/4", one 6' thermometer for the air temperature, and leads for these about 12' long. We should want the bridge to read from 0oC to 110oC, the sliding contact to be marked in 1/20.oC over a range of 10oC. We should be grateful if you will therefore send us an estimate for this work together with a sketch of the proposed bridge.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
