Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}4/KT. Expl. Dept. CAMBRIDGE, ENGLAND. IN REPLY PLEASE QUOTE HTG/FB 22nd April 1931. Messrs Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, Radiator Temperature Outfit. ------------------------- We thank you for your letter of the 17th instant, but before quoting on the apparatus we would like to have your confirmation that it is essential that the bridge should cover a range of 0-110°C. During the visit of your Representative, Mr Grylls, a range of 60-110°C was mentioned, and we find that the increased range will add considerably to the cost of the bridge, as an additional six 10°C steps will be required. Further, we assume that it is immaterial to you whether we use 10 or 20-degree steps provided readings can be made to 1/20°C. We note that five thermometers are now required instead of four. Assuring you of our prompt attention upon receipt of your reply. We are, Yours faithfully, for CAMBRIDGE INSTRUMENT CO. LTD. Asst. Works Manager. | ||
