Dear Sirs, In reply to your further letter of April 15th regarding the method of fixing the Battery Filter to Rolls Royce cars, we understand that we have already successfully fitted two Rolls Royce cars, in which cases the Battery Filter was mounted close to the junction box. The success of this arrangement depends largely upon the low H.F. resistance in the various members of the chassis, in the vicinity of the wiring, and to a certain extent upon efficient screening. In the cases cited, we understand it was unnecessary to use an additional condenser. We do not recommend this practice as a rule, because it is generally found that there is sufficient H.F. resistance between the various members of the chassis to induce interference in the Car Radio circuits. On the other hand, we naturally have no objection to mounting the filter near the junction box, if the results prove to be satisfactory, but at the moment our experience with Rolls Royce cars is insufficient to enable us to recommend this method of fixing as a standard practice. All quotations and orders are subject to our confirmation and will be executed at the price ruling at the date of delivery. The Company reserve the right to alter prices, discounts, and conditions of sale without notice. All orders accepted are contingent on strikes, fires or other causes beyond our control.
