FRONT SPRINGS. X9410 We send herewith N.scheme 1845. shewing the lay-out of the new 12½% front springs with negative camber. There is also indicated a new form of rubber buffer which Mr. Royce would like tried. Mr. Royce would like more rubber on the buffers than we have hither-to had, that is to say, he would like the spring to strike the buffers earlier in the bump. We have accordingly shewn thicker rubber buffers on this drawing, and the best thickness will have to be determined by experiment. This completes the information we are proposing to send you on E.A.C.3. front springs. RECEIVED DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
