From Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} 8/MJ.12.3.30. Thank you for your letter of the 9th.inst. We are glad that you are free from brake squeaks. With regard to the radiator "jellying" we have managed to improve cars with wheels at the back quite a lot by tightening up the semi isolation, putting solid washers under the head of the bolt instead of the rubber. If you have any time to spare it might be interesting to confirm whether this cure affects 18-EX. We think that your "jellying" will certainly be worse with tyre pressures of 30 lbs. sq. in. and should nearly disappear with pressures of 40 lbs. sq. in. We should like to know what your petrol consumption is on the car after your short runs as we have had complaints of lack of economy from owners that do not correspond with the figures we get here.
