With reference to Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3/LG16.10.25, and PN {Mr Northey} 1/DN17.10.25, copy attached, I have been under the impression recently that By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and others had come to the conclusion that it would be no use instructing people to tighten their shock-absorbers beyond our usual standard, because they will not stand it, and it would only lead to disappointment to the customer and continuous complaints. Please discuss the matter with By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} so that we may arrive at some definite conclusion before this alteration is standardised. B.J. | ||
