| Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to Hy. {Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} XU086 6-GOSHAWK(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))-11. Y4263 x4086 EF1/LG8.4.22. Further to our EF3/LG7.4.22. The side steering tube which we are sending as a spare for this car is fixed up with buffer springs at each end. The scheme of these buffer springs is a standard Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))-11 scheme i.e. N. sch. 702 but the front end is now made the same as the rear end. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has in hand a scheme of making up a side steering tube which is exactly the same in action as the 40/50 as instructed by Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} This we will try out experimentally as soon as made.
