Re 225 HP Aero Engine.

With reference to the failure of the sparking plugs, we presume that these are Lodge porcelain ones. You do not state in what way they have failed, but we suppose that the porcelains have cracked. In the standard cylinders we propose to deliver, we hope the water cooling of the plugs will be found to be better. We imagine at the moment that you are using the old original cylinders with a poor water-way past the plug, some of which failed entirely through faulty manufacture.

Referring to the excessive lubrication used, you do not tell us if you improved this by drilling the piston. Can this now be considered satisfactory ? Are you running at 2000 with pre-ignitions and miss-fires.
