Coverley - Production Engineer} /SB. {Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} 1/MC.11.12.37. re the fitting of "Corrojoint" washers, we agree that they should be fitted to the 6 wraith experimental production chassis, and also to 26.G.VI. car before it goes to France, in all cases the joint faces should have normal finish machined surfaces only. We are running on a number of our cars the same "Corrojoint" washer but the faces and flanges of the manifolds and pipes have been lapped and scraped, and therefore it only constitutes half a test. All of our future 10,000 miles cars should be run as 26.G.VI. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wym. {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} | ||
