Referring to Eg.S/R.4.5.34. the most difficult items to get on the car are the controllable dampers. At the time of the Conference the drawings had not even been completed. These drawings meant new patterns. The promise of the Pattern Shop in view of the amount of work they had in hand was May 29th. By the Works agreeing to give these parts priority over everything else we shall get the patterns delivered by the middle of this week. The best we can hope, if the car is to have the controllable dampers fitted, is that it will start in 10 days' time. We do not anticipate any difficulty in getting the other parts by the same date.
