| To RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x528 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Gry. {Shadwell Grylls} 11/KW.21.10.35. 20/25 HP. Gearbox. Since standardising on the Bentley the clutch with fabric on the driven member, which was also fitted to 21-G-IV, there have been complaints that the synchromesh mechanism does not work as well as it used to. Before 21-G-IV next goes to France, will you please fit 8° cones of the type shown on N.Sch.3994, which is a drawing of the 2nd speed cones on the Vulture(Experimental 6 CYL OHV LONG STROKE / Aero Engine), and has longitudinal slots and a screw thread instead of the usual diagonal grooves.
