Identifier  ExFiles\Box 25\3\  Scan024
Date  12th October 1911

Slipper drive is effective as a cure of crank rattles with the least possible set on the stop is effective up to nearly tight. But has other troubles in tightening up.

If slack or easy - coron. rattles poor - otherwise N.G.

If it is tightened - coron rattles get less but lusty engine starts at periods (all over) - cannot cure both. - more coron. rattles higher, & less if tightened up.

In external slipper work lusty - & knock. was than internal - the knock (when tight) can be cured by oiling fibres.
